Getting Started

Embarking on your journey to create a custom AI Assistant has never been easier. This section will guide you through the initial steps of setting up your account, familiarizing yourself with our platform, and creating your very first AI Assistant. Let's dive in!

Creating an Account

Your adventure begins with creating an account on our platform. Here's how to get started:

  1. Visit Our Signup Page: Go to Cubeo AI Signup Page.
  2. Enter Your Details: Fill in your email, choose a secure password and optionally add a team name. If a team name is not provided this will be guessed from your email. Don't worry, you can change it later.
  3. Or you can signup very easily using your own Google Account
  4. Log in to your new account.

Once logged in, you'll be greeted by our user-friendly dashboard. Here's a quick overview:

  • Dashboard: Your central hub, showing an overview of your AI Assistant projects.
  • Teams: See all your teams. You can create as many as you need from this page.
  • My Team: See all your team members, invite new ones or manage your team settings
  • AI Assistants: Access all your AI Assistants projects from here.
  • Create New AI Assistant: The place to start building a new AI Assistant.
  • Profile: Manage your account settings and preferences. Create API Keys to interact with our Rest API.

We recommend spending a few minutes exploring the portal to get comfortable with the layout.

Creating Your First AI Assistant

Ready to build your first AI Assistant? Follow these steps:

  1. Start a New Project: Click on the 'Create New AI Assistant' button from your dashboard.
  2. Name Your AI Assistant: Give your AI Assistant a unique name.
  3. Add a Description: Add a description to your assistant. It helps others to understand its purpose and understand the vision
  4. Select the Type: You can choose between Simple Q&A useful if you want to train it with your own data or Custom AI Agent useful if you want to automate repetitive tasks and connect multiple assistants together with your preferred tools.
  5. Select The Model: GPT-3.5 (a cheaper version of ChatGPT) or GPT-4 (a smarter but more expensive version of ChatGPT)
  6. Set Visibility: By default it is private meaning noone will have access to your AI Assistant except you and your team members. Public AI Assistants can be accessed via a public link or embedded in your website. It can be changed later.
  7. Customize: Begin customizing your AI Assistant's responses and personality or whatever you want by changing the AI Assistant Instructions field.
  8. Save: Save your AI Assistant
  9. Train: Start training your AI Assistant (if you have chosen the Simple Q&A type) with your own files, Youtube videos, website or Q&A pairs.
  10. Connect Tools: Start connecting your preferred tools (if you have chosen the Custom Agent type)

Once you created an AI Assistant, you can't change its type.

First Steps in AI Assistant Customization

  • Change Its Behaviour: Change AI Assistant Instructions to better fit your brand style by telling AI Assistant how it should respond. E.g: Your responses should be as detailed as possible and be very friendly
  • Set Up Greetings: Define how your AI Assistant greets users. This could be done from Settings tab > Widget Settings > Initial Text
  • Change Widget Layout: Configure your brand colours, widget title & subtitle, avatar, bubble image and many more. This could be done from Settings tab > Widget Settings
  • Preview and Test: Regularly test your AI Assistant to see how it responds by accessing the Chat tab within the AI Assistant Dashboard
